A beautiful October morning to sneak over to Slang Road before work!
Pat Folsom and I went looking for the Plovers but only found the Black
bellied. No sign of the Golden. There was also a plethora of Pipits in the
field, so numerous we felt we might step on one at any moment!
God I love life birds.

16 species

Canada Goose  X
Wood Duck  8
Mallard  4
Great Blue Heron  2
Red-tailed Hawk  1
Black-bellied Plover  1     Well seen and showing a 'black armpit' when
stretching it's wings.
Northern Flicker  1
Blue Jay  X
American Crow  X
Common Raven  1
Eastern Bluebird  1
American Robin  2
American Pipit  45     They were all over the field, flying and feeding.
This is a very conservative count.
Song Sparrow  3
White-throated Sparrow  1
Northern Cardinal  1
