This is, I think, the third incident in three days of unrelated issues that have impacted some aspect of campus information services.  Sorry for the disruptions.  The good news is that they didn't happen two weeks ago.

    Our carrier has reported that there is a fiber cut between Salem 
NH, and Boston.

    The end result at this point is that large file transfers may 
appear to be slower.
