We set out to tour western Rutland County in the hopes of finding a Snowy Owl today (no luck), but nevertheless found five species of raptors. These included:

2 adult Bald Eagles chasing a Red-tailed Hawk at Benson Landing (considerably more iced in than yesterday)

2 Northern Harriers, male and female, in Benson on East Road

12 Red-tailed Hawks (all in Benson and West Haven except for one in Rutland)

1 Rough-legged Hawk, dark morph, in West Haven

2 Peregrine Falcons, one on Ghost Hollow Road in West Haven, and one at its usual hangout in Rutland City on the church steeple

..all these and others submitted to eBird.
