Thanks Rob! After rereading your email, I realized that I hadn't checked the iCloud settings. Someone had tried to guess the password for iTunes the other day, thus forcing me to reset it. That means that I had to go back in and add it to iCloud. Thanks!
Find my ipad relies on the location services being turned on (and iCloud). Make sure it is turned "on" in location services and iCloud.Restoring from a backup should have no effect on this service unless the backup settings had "location services" and/or "Find my ipad" service turned off.
btw, this service is limited to 100 devices per account...if that's an issue!
