Has anyone used QuickOffice  with Google Apps on an iPad?
I have been looking for a good solution  that could use Google Apps successfully on an iPad.  Seems each solution has its pros and cons -- Wish Google would come up with a 'great solution"
After reading many great reviews for Quick Office, I finally downloaded and started to collaborate with others on a comparison spreadsheet of the different ways to to access Google Docs on an iPad.  We are just beginning, but if anyone would like to join and add to this comparison, we'd love it to see what you are all discovering as the pros and cons of each solution.

The kids are accessing Google Docs through a link we have on our school webpage (I created a web clip for easy access).  Google defaults to the mobile version when they log in.  The problem is only happening to a few students when they are switching back and forth to take notes.  They aren't even trying to copy & paste text, simply change tabs.  I'm guessing, based on the responses, that it is a problem with one of the websites that they are using.  My solution was the same as yours Rob, have them take notes in Notes and then we will copy & paste into Google when they are ready to do more with it.  Thanks for the help!  (And I will add the Google Search app to our iPads.  I have it on my phone, but didn't think of it for the iPads.)

Are you using the mobile version of Google Docs? I haven't heard this complaint from teachers or students, so I've tried to re-create this issue and cannot.  I'm logged into my Google Aps, have a Google wordprocessing document open, move to a different tab and copy some text, go back to the doc and am able to paste without needing to re-login.  Did I miss something?  I'm using the mobile version of GDocs.
Because of the clunky nature of GoogleDocs in iOS world, we've been having kids paste things into notes or another wordprocessor (we purchased Office2HD...mixed reviews) instead of working directly in Google.

As an aside, we've found that tables and spreadsheets work better than basic wordprocessing on the iPads!
