Hi all,
We're revisiting this topic and wondering if anyone has any new insights or experience with fees and/or insurance for their netbook initiatives.
If you have your students pay a "Technology Fee", what seems to be the right amount? Is it a yearly fee?

Also... what plans, if any, for these netbooks when student move on to a new school in the district or graduate?
Has any one explored the idea of students buying the device after X number of years?

thanks,
Luis

Hi All,

I know there have been a lot of conversations on 1:1 initiatives, so forgive me if this is a repeated request.

In South Burlington, we are working on a 1:1 laptop rollout for 8th and 9th graders next year and we are interested in how other schools with 1:1s are handling:

Policies for theft and damage

Fees (if any) to cover insurance or other related costs

Student guidelines and expectations

Thanks,
