this certainly covers the scale aspect of what we all talk about.
 
By definition the best device is the device, a user can afford and have with them at all times.
 
Everyone could afford $35, the question is, will users actually take to it.
 
it would be nice however if there was a universal KVM solution for student devices.
 
Whether the device was a Fire, an itouch or a droid phone, they could come in and connect up to a full size monitor, keyboard and mouse.
 
Do whatever it was they needed to do, and then disconnect so that the setup was available for the next user.
 
if Apple actually cared about education and ubiquitous computing, they would find a solution to this issue.
 
Apple cares (like they all do) about selling devices, selling apps, and hooking customers.
 
This is why it matters that they use a propriety connector and ignore standards (as Steve C. poo-poo'd last week.
 
Good for AAPL shareholders perhaps, but not for education in general.
