WHEN: July 9-11, 2012

WHERE: Wellesley College Club, Wellesley, MA

What is LOA?
It's a "TEDTalks Meets Studio Space Meets Soul Train" kind of professional
development experience and we think it's pretty wonderful!

LOA is a 3-day immersion experience in July. You will:
. design a project to promote learning in your workplace;
. hear from inspirational speakers share their research and perspectives;
. apply what you learn to the design and practical implementation of your
project; and
. receive ongoing support from LOA-beyond the summer and throughout the
academic year-as you implement and evaluate your project and learn from your
LOA colleagues.

You'll play. You'll work (including homework!). You'll reflect. You'll be
part of a smart and supportive team.

You'll explore questions like these:
. What practices support thriving people and thriving organizations?
. How do we continue to evolve to meet business needs while staying engaged
and happy in our work?
. How can people within their organizations draw on past experience, assess
current context, envision and contribute to a future state worth evolving
toward?
. What possibilities do we see for creating optimal circumstances for
individual and organizational thriving?

You should attend LOA if you:
. are committed to bringing about positive change in your organization;
. thrive in immersive and vibrant environments;
. want to be part of a responsive, flexible and relevant team;
. find healthy project environments engaging and fun; and
. are ready for a year-long challenge to roll-up-your-sleeves and make a
difference.

We especially want to hear from you if you represent a Library and/or IT
organization that wants to emphasize individual staff and group learning in
the face of rapidly evolving environmental demands.
