The Department is looking for a couple of names of classroom based teachers that can do a quality job on leading iPad workshops for a couple of groups of educators. These workshops should be steeped in instructional needs around using apps for a variety of learning supports for general and special education. This is not an iPad deployment focus. Certainly some knowledge of the device use, etc. is important, but most interested in using apps meaningfully in core subjects, especially writing and reading.

Best candidates will be versed in:

n Working with students in 5-12 grade range.

n Working and exhibiting patience with a variety of educators with varying skill levels in use of technology.

n Good knowledge of useful education based apps, both free and low cost.

n Knowledge of apps useful for ELL students is helpful.

n Creative uses of apps to support learning
Workshops will probably be held over late Spring or Summer months.

If you can name someone, give a little background on their credentials, give a quick snapshot of what you think sets them apart, and provide an email and phone that would be most appreciated.

Please respond to me off-list.
