This summer we have expanded the offering to Central Vermont and will hold a Google Tools for Schools Summer Institute in Berlin,  Williston, and St. Albans.  We will also be hosting an online session for those who prefer  virtual learning opportunities.   Google Experts - Elizabeth McCarthy, David Davidson, Lisa Barry, Bonnie Birdsall, Matt Allen, and Tony Galle  will be teaming up with Lucie deLaBruere to deliver a unique model of professional development using Google Tools for Schools. We will simultaneously run classes at three locations across the state and online, providing an expanded PD opportunity that taps into the expertise of various educators with Google Tools Expertise.

Credit: Optional 3 Graduate credits from St. Michael’s College, additional $285 
Course summary: 
In this course you will participate in a hands on workshop, online and face to face discussions. 
They will also develop a project/unit that aligns to Common Core standards and models the integration of technology into the curriculum to meet the needs of the 21st century learning. 
Participants will: 
•explore how to transform teaching and learning with technology tools and skills (Google Tools) and to address national and state technology standards. 
•work in collaborative teams to develop projects/units to support 21st century learning. 
•Using these tools, teachers will perform an inquiry into collaborative learning 
•Teachers will research collaborative learning, 21st century skills and state and national standards. 
An iPod touch will be included as a tool to use to support the topic of mobile learning with Google tools.
