i have access to a small mountain of pretty well rotted dairy manure, but it is filled with all the worst kinds of weeds (and they aren't just at the top of the pile). i'm wondering if anyone has had success getting such a pile to heat up enough to kill off the seed bank, and/ or meet nofa's requirements to use it this season without treating it like raw manure?

i could add in fresh chicken manure, or green chop, but i'm not sure how well mixed in it would get just with a bucket loader. any suggestions?

thanks & happy spring
