If they want the whole document certified, it is $10/page and I write a statement similar to Joyce's on the first page and put my town seal on each page.  If they only want the first page certified, I put a statement on that page stating that it is a true copy of Marlboro Land Records Book #, Page #.  I attest, sign, and seal that page.  I make no reference to the document name, only the book and page, so I don't create the impression I am saying anything about the rest of the copies.  Then I charge $1/page for the regular copies.

Subject: certifying a mortgage

Good Morning Clerks,

When you are asked to certify a mortgage, do you certify all pages or just one?

Thanks,
