At about 7:45 this morning when I arrived, I could detect some odor in the parking lot.  About an hour ago, I started to notice it in the building on the 2nd floor.

Monica indicated that at about 9am it was quite strong in the parking lot.

I was confused about where we were supposed to report returning asphalt smells.
Jeff says:  emailing ([log in to unmask]).

I recommend that employees copy their supervisors when reporting to risk management.

Hi Keith,

If building occupants could register their complaint with our department by emailing ([log in to unmask]), that would be ideal.  This account is managed by three people in our group who can then initiate correspondence with the State of Vermont.

Thank you,
Jeff

Thank you.
What is the current protocol for reporting these incidents?

Sorry to hear about the continued troubles with odors/emissions from the Whitcomb plant.  Per the State's request, I have notified the Air Pollution Control division of our complaint. There is a chance they may contact you directly, otherwise I will let you know when I hear from them.

Best,

Hello all,

The intense asphalt smell INSIDE the building at 106 Highpoint is back this morning. I am no longer with Risk Management and no longer officially working on this issue but I thought it would be helpful to all if you knew this was the case and also know that Julie Barrett, UVM Real Estate Manager, Jim Antell, building owner, and Environmental Health & Safety are aware of it.

The first arriving occupant at 106 Highpoint called me this morning. I called Jeff Rogers, Compliance Manager at Environmental Safety, and am sending this email.

Barbara
