Rich Media Specialist, CELT (Complementary Position)

Academic Technology at Keene state College is seeking a team focused, innovative, experienced instructional technologist to fill the role of Rich Media Specialist, to support learning and teaching through the effective use of technology. This is a non-benefit, full-time fiscal year (July-June) appointment.

Responsibilities: develop and support instructional technologies and resources into locally-useful instructional and scholarly tools, document best practices and approaches for using such tools, work closely with faculty and members of the CELT team to explore the use of technology to support and enhance learning, teaching and scholarship at KSC.

Other additional duties: partner with faculty and CELT to research, design, and produce rich media materials that support teaching and learning; develop and lead professional development opportunities to campus which support effective use of rich media and mobile technology in learning and teaching; provide support for individual faculty, departments, programs, and campus projects and initiatives; apply principles of instructional design to support effective integration of technology into learning and teaching.

Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience in: digital/interactive media, instructional, or information technology field; experience researching, evaluating, and implementing Internet resources for educational purposes; demonstrated ability to create online and/or print resources/tutorials that document use of information technology for learning and teaching; experience developing and leading technology workshops. Expertise in use of social media, mobile applications, and emerging education technologies. Demonstrated video production and post-production experience. Proven abilities to communicate the complexities of technology to a wide-range of audiences, learn new technologies and approaches quickly and independently, strong collaboration skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills.

Additional Desirable qualifications: experience supporting Apple and Google products; experience with spreadsheets and learning management systems such as Blackboard, additional higher education.
