Hello Vermont Birders: The shorebird success in southern VT reported earlier today inspired me to check Shelburne Bay this afternoon. I was pleased to spot an adult Sanderling in worn breeding plumage among the more common peeps. The challenge here is access since the shorebirds are concentrated at the east end, closer to the railroad overpass. There isn't any public parking along Bay Road unfortunately. It's a long scope from the boat launch. The complete list is below: http://ebird.org/ebird/vt/view/checklist?subID=S11220918 Good birding, Eric Hynes South Burlington
