We agree with Anita on this one.....if it is an excel program (?) wouldn't it be easy to just have the numbers calculate so we don't have to use our adding machine on the side?

As we have said from the beginning this is a PILOT project which we are testing as we go. There were two adjustments that needed to be made in the middle of the evening yesterday to correct some unanticipated issues based on the difference in log in time needed to do 11 races in 3 parties compared to the 2 party, 1 race pilot test for the Presidential Primary. We hope and anticipate that this will run more smoothly for the General Election.

We can also use this pilot testing to collect excellent suggestions such as Bobbie’s suggestion below which we may be able to incorporate into the general election pilot. We will try our best to set it up so you will enter the numerical results on Election Night or asap the next morning and then save that data into the ORV so that you can go in the next morning to add the write-in names.

There are generally bumps in the road during software development particularly browser based software development.

Since we can print the blank ORV from this system, wouldn't it be nice if we could print the ORV with our data entry already filled in? Even if we had to go in and add the write-ins the next day, it wouldn't seem like such busy work/waste of time if we actually got something out of it. It hasn't reduced the requests for information that we are receiving. I wonder who is using it.

I walked away to get my instructions (when in doubt and all that) and when I came back, I had a server error message on the screen. We don't have a server, so the error had to be on their end. I left a message on the elections number and went home. When I came back this morning, we had a message that they were aware of the error but our results did go through.

Maybe you are having trouble logging in because they are working on the site?
