As much as I hate to separate students from their technology in the summer, I can't think of a more efficient way to evaluate, repair and update computers. If we are training students to live "in the cloud" (eg. functionality and data are independent of their device) then this should not be an extreme hardship. I figure we are providing the tools for learning (most of which happens during the school year) and have committed to helping to keep the tools working as efficiently as possible so maintenance and reimaging is a necessity. When else would that happen?

Hi All,
For those of you with 1 to 1 programs for all students.....Do you let the students keep their devices over the summer or do you collect them each June?
As our program grows, we are just wondering which method would work better.  In the past and this summer we have collected them.  Collecting them all is obviously an issue of storage and reimaging a lot of machines.
Thanks, Jean
