Hi Aimee,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

As far as guidelines for district owned ipads.   We haven't had any issues or set guidelines about not lending them out, we have very few that go home but are used more in the building.  We buy vouchers to install apps and they can install free apps to it but if it is something they need to purchase they have to put in a request for it and then a decision is made whether it gets installed or not.  They can put on apps using their personal Apple Itunes account and if the ipad changes ownership it get deleted from the ipad.

If you hit reply to a School It email it goes back out the whole group.   If you want to start an email you send it to  "School Information Technology Discussion" <[log in to unmask]> and it goes to the list serve.

Vita Learn regional meetings are held every couple of months and I don't think there is a schedule out yet, when it does come out, I'll forward to you but you will probably get it through the listserve as well.

Hope the beginning is going well for you.

Hi Chris & Lisa,

I hope you don't mind if I occasionally send you a quick email . . . you're the Integration Specialists I know the best!

I was wondering if either of your schools have guidelines for using district owned iPads at home (i.e. don't lend to family members, only download with school apple id)?  As you know, we are new to iPads last spring, and some things have come up over the summer that has prompted us to need guidelines for mobile devices.

I feel a bit silly asking this next question, but I've never used the List Serve prior to the past few months.  I get all the emails, but I'm not sure how to reply or start a new post.  I went to the List Serve site and logged in.  It looked like I could start a new post that way . . . is that the only way?  Do I just "reply all" to respond to a post? Is there any special etiquette?

Finally, Bonnie Birdsall mentioned to me (at Dynamic Landscapes) that I should consider attending the Vita Learn Regional (?) meetings . . . How do I know when they are?  Is there an informational website?

Thank you for a great course,
