Hi Steve, I anticipated the need for travel (the unfortunate downside of being centrally located, but not actually near to any other program) and we'll try to push things along as much as possible on Sunday. Are you renting a vehicle to return to SFO, or are you going to be using a shuttle service? We've only got one prelim scheduled on Sunday and if one of your teams clears to finals we can think about the option of skipping lunch (or sending non-breaking members on a food run) in order to move up finals as much as possible. If your flight leaves at 6, you probably need to leave around 2:00, just in case there's traffic. It's not going to be easy, but we'll do what we can. What time do you arrive? If you're going to be here by 6:00pm on Friday, would you be interested in putting one of your teams into our public demo round? Thanks and I look forward to seeing you in a month. Unfortunately, to be able to afford the tickets, we needed to fly into and out of SFO. Our flight is scheduled to depart at 6:00 on Sunday, so whatever you can do to move things along will be appreciated. We'll be having a public demonstration debate at 6pm the night before and would love to showcase some of the best our region has to offer. If you are going to arrive in the area in time and are interested in participating in the demonstration debate, please contact me. Please note that we need a firm estimate on the number of teams you're bringing by November 15. I apologize for the early requirement, but there are new rules in place on campus for room reservations. Actual entries, names, pairings, etc. are not due until the week before the tournament. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Colin Murphy UC Davis Debate
