It is likely that eccentric means what we often call saccular

Paul,
I haven't heard an aneurysm referred to as eccentric before, but it may be in response to phasing out the word "ectatic" when describing an aneurysm.

Eccentric aortic aneurysms, to my knowledge, are usually located on the "left side of the tracks" (usually next door to the boorish IVC). They live in expensive homes, wear gaudy clothes and jewelry and dine at all the upscale
eateries. :)

Hi Our lab recently purchased the most recent "introduction to Vascular
ultrasound" we used to just call it Zweibel but now the 6th edition is
Pellerito/Pollack. Anywho I was reading through the new 6th edition and
Noticed that there is an Aortic Aneurysm Classification of Eccentric.
And I must ask How long has this term been in use, Maybe Im crazy but I
totally dont remember it!
And since Flownet is soooooo slow and I usually use reading the comments to
fill the Dulldrom of slow portions of the day, I thought I would contribute
something!
Thanks
