Agreed the term is not truly applicable to sonography but I agree with an earlier post that stated we needed to look distal to this narrowing, is it short segment vs long, is the distal artery occluded, etc - and  be sure to let the surgeon know what was down stream. My docs hate surprises. And we, as technologists, need to recognize the importance of our sonographic findings and the impact they will have in the OR.
