What if:
1.  I lost power at my house with no possibility of it being restored for
days.
2.  I completely lost my mind and couldn't stand not skiing for another
second.

Does anyone know if it would be worth it to drive to W Virginia to ski for
a few days?

(This probably won't happen, though because the surfing will be awesome
again, once the wind shifts.)
