Greetings, VTBIRDers:

My apologies for yesterday's message with a dead link. This one should work:

Here's a final reminder that this month's BETTER BIRDING lecture–
Photography Phundamentals– will be this Friday, November 9, at 6pm in
Montpelier (rather than the usual first Monday of the month). In this
workshop you'll finally understand the buttons, dials, and menus on your
point-and-shoot or SLR camera. They are critical to good photography.
We'll cover ISO, white balance, metering, and other essentials you never
bothered to learn in the "olden days" of film. You'll abandon AUTO mode
for sunsets, wildlife, flowers, grand-kids, pets, and other precious
subjects. When we're done at 8:15pm or so, I'll extend the talk for
birders with tips on digi-scoping. Note the early start time on Friday
(6pm); bring your camera; and charge your battery before class. The $10
fee gets you handouts, refreshments, and lots of digital wisdom. Details
are on The Daily Wing: http://tinyurl.com/ckysxvh

Best,
Bryan Pfeiffer
