The wall to wall sunshine we had the last two days really made for a great
weekend of skiing the man-made. I was out both days with my two kids. My
youngest (8) now can keep up with us with very little stopping or waiting.
After all these years of putting kids boots on, fiddling with their
bindings, carrying all the ski gear, and skiing Toll Road over and over,
They now are independent and skiing well!

The skiing was very good, snow-wise. I guess it is because the quality has
improved with the new high tech guns they have. Aaron thought that they
don't have blow-outs and leaks like with the ground operated guns? Whatever
the reason, I only saw one or two rocks creep out of the snow at the end of
the day on Sunday. Even better, the new tower gun system is allowing the
snow makers to open up terrain like upper hayride and Centerline, right on
opening day. It is nice to have two bump runs to break up the fast groomer
trail experience; I am looking forward to Nosedive opening by the weekend...
