I spotted a murmuration of starlings down on 17 in Addison. I watched a
Cooper's hawk make lunges at them unsuccessfully for the greater part of an
hour. My sister edited together a video of the birds flocking together;
it's not as dramatic as the River Shannon video, but pretty neat
nonetheless. It was hard to get a sense of population, but inside the barn
there must've been a few thousand and each individual flock contained as
many as maybe about 500-600.
