Hi Patti (& VTBirders), Two mixed-aged teams of young and adult birders participated in the Superbowl of Birding this past Saturday in Essex Co. MA. The North Branch Nature Center has sponsored youth birding teams for competitions since 1999 and this was our fifth time participating in the Superbowl. These events have been a really fun way to get together kids with a common interest in birds and celebrate that love for birds together. A full report is posted at NBNC's blog (link below) but the combined species total from our two teams was 68 with nearly every team member having a 'life bird' (or two, or twenty!).
