  /Fulfilling Dreams for the First Generation College Student /

…4th Annual Diversity Initiatives Conference


    Conference Goal:


      To enable faculty, students and community practitioners to deepen
      their capacity to contribute to the experiences and successes of
      diverse first generation college students.


    Conference Format:


      Opening plenary and informal breakout sessions on topics such as:
      identity formation, academic readiness, mentoring, and family
      perspectives that address the critical dimensions of achieving
      higher education given the educational, economic, and language
      barriers that first generation college students
      experience/./Special student panels and/or facilitators.
