Fulfilling Dreams for the First Generation College Student

                                                    …4th Annual Diversity Initiatives Conference

 

Conference Goal:

To enable faculty, students and community practitioners to deepen their capacity to contribute to the experiences and successes of diverse first generation college students.

 

Conference Format:

Opening plenary and informal breakout sessions on topics such as: identity formation, academic readiness, mentoring, and family perspectives that address the critical dimensions of achieving higher education given the educational, economic, and language barriers that first generation college students experience. Special student panels and/or facilitators.
