Sent on behalf of Chuck Humphrey, Data Library Coordinator, University of
Alberta Libraries.

I would appreciate your assistance in circulating this notice among
graduating PhD students about a post-doc fellowship on data curation in
health research. This is a two-year fellowship with its own research funds
paid through the Council on Libraries and Information Resources' Mellon
Fellowship program. Working with professional staff within the University
of Alberta Libraries, the University of Alberta Research Ethics Office, and
the University of Alberta Health Law Institute, this fellowship position
will be responsible for investigating data management practices, norms,
policies, and infrastructure in health research that would improve methods
for sharing sensitive, private, or proprietary data. The position will
remain open until an appropriate candidate is found. The fellowship
description and application are available at:
http://www.clir.org/fellowships/postdoc/applicants/alberta2013

This position is not restricted to those with degrees in health. They
should, however, have a keen interest in research data and issues around
managing confidential data. Furthermore, they are not required to have
previous library work experience.

Thanks,
