Hope everyone had a nice relaxing and enjoyable break, wherever you were! We've got A LOT coming up for you guys, BBQs at Stowe (this Sunday!), Bolton(3/23) and Sugarbush(3/31), our spring trip to TREMBLANT and Homegrown Movie Night just to name a few!

This Saturday we will be sending buses to Smugg's, Stowe, Jay Peak, Sugarbush/Mad River and then the 8:20 bus to Bolton.

Homegrown Movie Night--the actual event is not until April, but this is a reminder to all y'all to start stacking footy! We wanna see those pow shots, tricks you've finally managed to stick, footage from the j-hole trip or colorado trip or wherever you've shredded this year! There will be prizes awarded to best pow and best overall, just to name a few of the categories (there will be more, they're just TBD). NOW GET TO FILMING!

One last thing! Our friends up at Jay Peak want some ssc member input! The band Dawes will be up at Jay on Friday, March 29th for a concert in the Foeger ballroom. Jay Peak is looking into setting up a shuttle service from UVM up to the show and back again, plus tickets to the show and possibly food/drink vouchers, all for about $50. FREE BURGERS AND HOT DOGS!

We are grilling at Stowe THIS SUNDAY! We will be flippin' burgers and hot dogs ( we got those veggie burges too) FO FREE! Look for us in the Stowe parking lot, we'll be firing up the grill around 11 and will keep it going til all the meats gone!
We will also be having a UVM SSC MEATSWEATING HULA-HOOPING CONTEST. ( if you dont know what the meat sweats are...we highly suggest competing...and finding out)

2)hulahoop consecutively for 1.5 minutes
3)WIN!

and who knows what else will be going down, it's St.Patty's day after all.

SSC is going international, we're headed to Canada! The weekend of April 5-7th we're headed north (where the drinking age is 18) to MOUNT TREMBLANT. For those who have never been , this trip is a STEAL. For $179 you get lodging (the condos are SICK) 2 full day lift tickets (in the past we've had perfect spring conditions), and transportation to Canada from Burlington! SPOTS ARE LIMITED! WE WILL BE DOING SIGN UPS AT OUR DESK IN SGA THIS THURSDAY STARTING AT 1PM UNTIL THE TRIP GETS SOLD OUT!!! ***remember, international, so you're gonna need a passport***

Contest time! This time around we want to see those goggle tans! For all those who went to Colorado, we know you caught some rays. Everyone else, maybe you were in Utah, perhaps California, or you got a sunglasses tan while deep sea fishing and now have a solid foundation for your to-be goggle tan.... whatever. SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT SSC!

Of course, the person with the best gog tan will be rewarded not only with the fact they have the best tan on campus, but they will walk away with a pair of headphones from WESC thanks to Jay Peak Mountain Resort! Runner up will get FREE ssc membership!

The mountains are hooking it up for you guys! With deals like these, you can hit up mountains without paying those expensive lift ticket prices! These deals only will work if you have your 2012-2013 gold SSC membership card AND your uvm cat card. Be sure that you have your name on it!

Costumes Required!
Open to any riders
UVMST MEMBERS are free
Nonmembers $5 per person or $15 a team
Run in 3 heats
1st heat: No Spins, straight airs and rail tricks back to regular only
2nd heat: Spins up to 360 degrees allowed (including flips)
3rd heat: Anything goes!

A few weeks back UVMSSC teamed up with Champlain Ski & Ride and Burton Snowboards to throw the 2nd Annual Bash at the Stash. The riding was on point and kids were laying down hammers all night. UVM came out on top for both men's and women's with Sam Watson and Gina Frontino bringing home 1st! Everyone who came out had a blast and we can't wait to be a part of this again next year!
