Subject: PubMed Searching Question.

I was asked this question by a researcher and I want to get the correct answer for her. In PubMed, what is the difference between searching with Humans as a MeSH, as opposed to limiting to humans?

As a test, I ran diabetes (keyword) then limited to Humans and got 330,269 results. Then ran diabetes (keyword) and combined it with Humans[Mesh] and got the same number. Is there any (general) situation where this might not be the case?

Thank you for your help!
