Medical libraries....your best return on investment ________________________________________ From: Medical Libraries Discussion List [[log in to unmask]] on behalf of Aldrich, Nancy [[log in to unmask]] Sent: Wednesday, May 29, 2013 3:15 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: PubMed Searching Question. I was asked this question by a researcher and I want to get the correct answer for her. In PubMed, what is the difference between searching with Humans as a MeSH, as opposed to limiting to humans? As a test, I ran diabetes (keyword) then limited to Humans and got 330,269 results. Then ran diabetes (keyword) and combined it with Humans[Mesh] and got the same number. Is there any (general) situation where this might not be the case? Thank you for your help! Sincerely, -Nancy Nancy Aldrich, MLIS | Library Manager | Florida Hospital Medical Library 601 E.
