Jeremy M. Boss, Ph.D.

Emory University School of Medicine

 

Dr. Jeremy Boss earned his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the State University of New York at Albany.  Dr. Boss joined the Microbiology & Immunology department at Emory University School of Medicine in 1986. He is currently Professor and Chair of the department.  He served as a Deputy Editor for The Journal of Immunology and was its Editor-in-Chief from 2008-2013. In 2002 and 2006, Dr. Boss and his coauthor, Dr. Susan Eckert published Academic Scientists at Work: Navigating the Biomedical Career. This career guidance book provides advice for young scientists on their journey from postdoc to tenured associate professor. Together, they also published 12 articles in Science’s Next Wave on career development and mentoring.
