I heartily agree.  Even though I embrace technology, I can't for the life of me justify having tech just for the sake of having it.  What need does it fill?  How do you plan on using it?  How do you (Admin) plan on facilitating the usage through PD?  I am thinking that most of us on this list will agree with Joanne.  

Question (and I realize that this may bend this 1-1 thread):  How many Administrators are on this list or are getting this message repeatedly through other sources?  Planning, implementation and support (PD) may be more important than just the ownership of technology.
