Thanks for the input.

We are "donating" an older iBook and wanted to keep it Mac, so the Ubuntu method (which I love and helped with) is not an option.  Don't have a license for 10.5 so that is out as well....

On the positive side, LibreOffice has an older version that is PPC workable :)  but that doesn't help with this donation...

I was fooling around with one the other day too and didn't have much luck.  The iBook is upgradeable to 10.5 but a) it's not easy to find and b) you would still be a generation short to run chrome.  If you find anything please let me know

Anyone have a suggestion on how to get any browser to work with GAFE on Mac 10.4.11?  Safari 4.1.3 isn't even allowed to load www.google.com, FireFox 3.6.28 is not compatible (but it does allow access into a Google account), can't seem to find a compatible Google Chrome version and Opera..well it just doesn't want to play at all...

Thoughts?  (Other than using as a door stop?)

(iBook G4,PPC, 1.07 GHZ, 1.25 GB DDR SDRAM - Remember those days?)
