Thanks, everyone!

I was leaning toward a Google Site, but I love the additional piece of including the group discussion. My only concern left is making sure the connected classrooms all have access to a Google account. (This should be a minor issue, but, depending on the location, may limit a few groups from joining the project.)

I'm still open to other suggestions, but a Google Site seems to be the most logical solution.

Thanks, again!

Too bad younger students can't use G+ Communities, a private community would be perfect. But they could use a teacher account for a synchronous HangOut between classrooms and share videos/presentations on screen.
Shared Blog maybe or build a Google site with a Shared Drive that is integrated to the site where they upload media to the drive and it feeds to a site page...maybe add a group discussion to the site.

Hello!

I have a 1st-3rd grade team that is interested in making global connections, but I'm struggling to find the best platform for this.

The City School students have some topics they want to cover with different classes from around the world. They'd like multimedia responses that can be hosted someplace for others to view. So, they want synchronous communication throughout the project, but they would like to have an asynchronous meeting to wrap it up.

I have some ideas, but I want to hear what suggestions you have.

Thanks!
