Nice! I'd always thought that a 1:1 environment with affordable devices/platform like Chromebooks and GAE for everyday work, and supplement the classroom/school with a few more heavy lifting multimedia machines would be a good system. The management features with TDashboard work well with the Chromebook, did you get the Remote Control Module as well?On Sat, Dec 21, 2013 at 8:00 PM, Caleb Clark <[log in to unmask]> wrote:

For those of you looking at ordering the Chromebook 14 - they make a business version that has 4GB of RAM rather than the regular 2GB.I just ordered some for one of our elementary schools. I ordered them through Marcus at Panurgy - great price at $299 each. If you want to be able to manage them in your GAE domain you can order that for $30 each. They also offer HP carepacks with accidental protection if you are interested in that too. Here is Marcus's contact information if anyone is interested:

I've been using the Samsung $249 chromebook for the past year with no issues...I've setup a GAE domain with Teacher Dashboard and the Remote Control module where you can see each student chromebook's screen, tabs open and have the ability to send messages a pop up on their screen, push urls to all devices as well as close tabs that they have open.
