A White-winged Crossbill sang briefly yesterday afternoon from the top 
of a Balsam Fir, one of several firs in the "Parade Ground" opening on 
Lone Rock Point, Burlington.  An adult Bald eagle soared above on the 
lift provided by a Lake Champlain thermal.
