After spending the afternoon with 2 Snowy Owls at Button Bay, I decided to head over to Country Club Rd. to try for the Short-eared Owls. I parked at the first bend in the rd. coming from route 17. At 4:30, I could hear a Great Horned Owl calling from the woods on the South side of the road. Just a few minutes later the Short-eared Owls came out. They were flying along the fence line, occasionally landing on a post. At one point I was able to see 7 flying over the field all at once.
