We have sent out the Marshall & Swift/Boeckl software licensing bills to all towns in hopes of also finding out what system everyone is utilizing.

We are asking each town to pay the licensing fee if they have MicroSolve. If you are using another CAMA system then please tell us what company you are using. Note the message at the bottom of the attached letter. We have included a paid return envelope for your convenience.

Thank you for your assistance,

Hi Carol,

I suspect if Barre City has been using NEMRC's CAMA 2000 software in the past, then you probably have been paying that licensing fee on an annual basis. Perhaps Joe L. would be able to give you some insight as to this. If it isn't resolved, perhaps next week we could dig out a prior year invoice.

As for the licensing period, it is good for a year. The M&S contract was due for renewal back as of July 1, 2013 but due to a series of unfortunate events, the contract wasn't finally signed until just recently and we couldn't bill until we had an approved contract. Despite the delay in contract approval, all Vermont municipalities using CAMA 2000 had access to the M&S data and license from July 1, 2013 until now and onto June 30, 2014. So the contract and license are really for an entire year.

The good thing is we (Michelle) were able to hold the contract renewal cost down to less than a 3% increase over past years and I believe the contract is good for multiple years so we should not be going through a late billing date for next year.

Hey Bill,

Can you tell me what the letter is about re the license agreement between the state and Marshall & Swift? We've never had to pay such a fee in the past. And the contract is good for less than 6 months...?
