My husband & I saw the darker snowy owl this morning around 9:30 near the south end of the airstrip. The bird was on the ground near the Calmont Beverage building but flew to the cemetary fence where he sat for a while. There were several birders on the opposite side from where we were. We took many pictures. Link to my Picasa is below.
