In addition to the aforementioned drake Canvasback reported yesterday by RCAS and Larry Clarfeld, I spotted a drake Redhead at Shelburne Bay this afternoon. Like the Canvasback the Redhead was swimming with a group of about 50 Common Goldeneye close to the edge of the ice.


Also, two adult Bald Eagles were perched on the ice when I arrived. The ice on the water, that is, not the ice in the parking lot, which is considerable.
