The Prophets/Soulmates are a bit on the heavy side. This ski needs to be a quiver of one front&backcountry ski, so I'm trying to keep the weight under 8 pounds for her and closer to 7 ideally. The description of Vicky skiing is helpful too, as Amy is a little more aggressive, having skied any line I've taken her to(though sometimes she does so too carefully) so that the Aura may be an appropriate tree ski for her, but I still have to find out the weight.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SkiVt-L is brought to you by the University of Vermont. On Tue, Jan 14, 2014 at 7:37 AM, Wesley A. 20 pounds heavier and 15-20 years younger, too, I imagine. Also, vickie is pretty blue square type II skier in her trail selection. She has never skied, for example, Paradise, and has no plans to do so. Moonwalk glades at Jay or Ben's Glade at MRG are more her type.
Sent from my iPadThanks again Wes.This is so different from reviews I've read, in which it's touted as an excellent all around ski. With Amy being at least 20 pounds heavier, and the newer models having some rocker, I wonder if they'd be ok in the trees.Decisions, decisions.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SkiVt-L is brought to you by the University of Vermont. On Mon, Jan 13, 2014 at 7:54 AM, Wesley A. Vicki says "Awesome in powder, prefers longer turns, not a tree ski (at least for me) , likes some steepness. Best runs ever on them Blackcomb glacier and stage coach (winter park) ."

Same dimensions as old Mantra, old time rectangular sidewalks and german built. A tad long and heavy for her (4' 10" and 100 lbs), but if she can turn them, anyone can. She saves them for powder days and western trips. In contrast, her new everyday ski is a 141cm volkl essenza Chiara, light and skinny.
Anyway, she likes them, and I bet Amy would, too. If I can find my kitchen scale, I'll try to weigh them.
Sent from my iPadDoes anyone on the list know any women that are on this ski? Can they give feedbackut on what the ski is like?
