Of course, if you empty the same dishwasher 8-9 times a day.... -grin-

You're right, though. It doesn't take much time. The only minor problem I personally have with it is signal:noise ratio on the list. There are other lists specifically *for* ILL. I don't use them because I don't need them, so I don't know what kind of traffic they generate. And of course therein lies part of the nub of *our* issue here; the people doing the asking are *medical* types, & they need to focus their requests to people in their own discipline.

To tell the honest truth, I for one had *forgotten* that non-NorthAm (incl. Mexico) colleagues couldn't access DL; my complete & utter bad. [slap hand] But I also try to default to not grousing too much about the ILL traffic. Normally I just delete & drive on. I could create a filter for it, but I don't because I might be able to assist someone else, which is what we all came to the list for anyway. (Hard to believe it's been nearly 25 years that we could do that; harder still to believe I've been using it that long! -laugh-)

I must say I havent been following this discussion but see that it is
still going on.

How much time does it take to delete a posting?

I used to complain that my husband wouldnąt empty the dishwasher after our
kids left home and it was a chore I hated. So after grumbling about it for
years. I set a timer and it took me less than 2 minutes to empty and put
away a full dishwasher. Thatąs about the amount of time it takes the water
to boil for a cup of tea.

Just put it into perspective.
