<< Out-of-Band Microsoft Security Updates & Adobe Flash Player Security Updates >>

Microsoft has released an out-of-band (OOB) security update for Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer on all supported Windows platforms (8.1, 8, Server 2012 & R2). This update addresses the vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player by updating the affected Adobe Flash libraries contained within Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11.

Adobe has also released emergency security updates for Adobe Flash Player for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. These updates address vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. An exploit for CVE-2014-0515 exists in the wild, and Adobe recommends users update their product installations to the latest versions ASAP.

**ETS has deployed the third-party Adobe Flash Player patches as well as the OOB Microsoft security updates with a mandatory installation deadline on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 8:00PM.  These updates have been made available starting at 1:00PM today. The third-party Adobe Flash Player patches will force the browser(s) (Internet Explorer & Firefox) to close to successfully complete the installation if they are left open.  The installation is fairly quick and no required reboots have been observed.  Please report any issues relating to these OOB security patch deployments to [log in to unmask].
Thank you.
