This AM had one American coot along Eastern edge of Lake Paran in N. Bennington. Only other water birds were 7 Black Ducks, but the coot made it a worthwhile rainy walk.. Also had 7 species of sparrows along the railroad track. Nothing unusual but nice to see the diversity.

At our farm fields in Shaftsbury there are still water pipits and yesterday.... horned larks.
