I was able to do a green screen test on our iMac which has Yosemite installed. 

Here are some screen-captures of the drop-down menu (in the upper left-hand corner of the clip edit window) when you double click on a selected clip in your timeline.
Default option in drop-down is "cutaway"... just choose "green/blue screen" from that menu.
