I agree with you Larry, it's that "technology integration" piece that I'm talking about...I see many schools just throwing it into the role without really knowing the implications.

Elizabeth,

Maybe RNESU needs a "tech support" position rather than a "tech integration" position (hence the 65/35 breakout).  Moreover, I would argue that "Windows Server 2008/2012, Window 7/8 desktops/laptops, Windows AD networking, and supporting mobile technologies. Experience with Linux servers and VMWare a plus" is more than just "simply knowing how to setup and use devices and apps."  Sounds more like a network/systems admin position.

Hi Susan,
I wonder when the role of "technology integration" shifted to "tech support" and IT? I don't mean to be pointing at just your job posting but rather to address the broader issue of the  "technology integration endorsement" as part of a teacher license, and the fact that it is not a requirement in schools. There is clearly a difference between "technology support" and "technology integration," those who have gone through the state license/endorsement requirements have a much deeper understanding and knowledge skill than simply knowing how to setup and use devices and apps.
Again, sorry if it seems I'm pointing fingers, but I don't think admin and others are aware of the difference and the importance of not confusing those two roles.
