Greetings!  The G.G. Hatch Stable Isotope Laboratory at the University of Ottawa, Canada, is pleased to host the Advances in Stable Isotope Techniques and Applications (ASITA) conference from June 27th to 30th, 2015.  This year ASITA, previously the Canadian CF-IRMS Workshop, celebrates its 21th anniversary.  The focus of the workshop continues to be methodology advancements, technical challenges, and novel applications.  This workshop has a reputation for being a lighthearted forum for discussing and solving technical challenges.  We look forward to another great meeting.

Please note the usual format of the conference has been modified:

-        The conference will begin SATURDAY evening with an icebreaker and registration.

-        Sunday morning ONLY will be the short courses focusing on basic isotope analysis, instrument operation and troubleshooting, and data manipulation.

-        The remainder of the conference will begin after lunch on Sunday and will feature oral and poster presentations, and break-out discussions on an assortment of topics.

-        Tuesday afternoon will be devoted to lab tours including the new Advanced Research Complex (ARC).

All instrument users and vendors are encouraged to participate and present their work related to new techniques or applications of stable isotopes.  This announcement also serves as a solicitation for break-out topics; please submit suggestions to us off-list at [log in to unmask].

Wednesday, July 1st is Canada Day; Ottawa, as Canada’s capital, is hosting tons of fun activities for that day.  Consider staying on an extra day after the conference to help us celebrate!

Website, registration, abstract submission, and housing details will follow by February 1.
