Late this afternoon I stopped at Shelburne Bay and Meach's Cove and had a
few birds that are somewhat unusual at this time of year.

At Shelburne Bay I had the drake NORTHERN PINTAIL that I believe has been
previously reported as well as a female GREEN-WINGED TEAL mixed among the
Mallards to the east.

At Meach's Cove there was a KILLDEER on the shore just to the south of the
restroom building. Additionally, calm winds created good viewing conditions
enabling a count of 29 HORNED GREBES.
