There is a thread regarding students un-enrolling themselves... solution is
to re-enroll.

I think it's like any classroom expectations...students need to know how to
get to class and be responsible for their work and material.  In the old
days, if they threw out their text book and binder or lost it, what was the
consequences?  There was no way to block them from doing those things, just
a way to help them resolve the results of their actions.
